Laura has worked diligently to build a diverse portfolio of projects for Calfayan Construction since assuming ownership of the company in 2000. Together, Reis and Laura transformed the small custom-carpentry business Reis had established into Calfayan Construction, a nationally, regionally and locally award-winning company. In 2005, Calfayan Construction earned the honor of being elected one of the top 50 remodeling companies in the country by REMODELING Magazine. That prestigious Big50 Award has been Laura's inspiration to continue to build Calfayan Construction into an industry leader.

Well aware of customers' frustrations with contractors who were over-budget, past deadline, and notorious for poor work, Laura has structured Calfayan Construction into a business with a fine reputation for delivering extraordinary and innovative craftsmanship on schedule and on budget.

Using a customer-centric management style (unique in the remodeling industry), Laura implements customized, deadline-driven, fixed-price contracts approved and signed by the customer and Calfayan before construction begins. Laura keeps a portfolio of projects with letters from happy customers attesting to Calfayan's professionalism and innovative craftsmanship.
