Although this was a new, custom-built home, the master bathroom was builder-grade with little flair, no color, and completely lacking in luxury. The owners regarded it as the “sore-thumb” and the “cheapest, uninspired” room in their large, chic home. They hired Phase II Designs to design a

Professionals who log many air miles and too much time away from the comforts of home, the owners wanted their master bath to be an inviting, serene retreat where they felt pampered while unwinding from a long work-week – or getting ready to start a new one!

Calfayan Construction gave meticulous attention to every detail of the extensive renovation plan, which included an addition to the master bedroom. The new construction is barely noticeable inside or out, blending perfectly with the rooflines and interior spaces of the original house. From the sophisticated caramel color scheme, to the hidden placement of electrical outlets and placement of a flat-screen TV, to the granite-topped ten-foot vanity, the bland bathroom became stunning. The original bathroom was demolished and several of the five doorways were eliminated to give the master bedroom/bath a more serene feng-shui. Iridescent glass and copper-laced tile in rich, golden shades of brown are reminiscent of Tuscan sunshine, creating the luxurious spa once envisioned and now enjoyed by these frequent-flyers.
